The Urban Mission is committed to seeing that children receive a nutritious meal during the summer month while school is not in session.
In partnership with local agencies including D’Anniballe’s, Community Action Council Summer Work Program, Steubenville City Schools, and with a generous donation from Thoburn UMC in St. Clairsville, Ohio, the Urban Mission will administer the local Summer Food Program for students through the Department of Education.
Throughout the months of June, July and August, youth ages 1-18 can visit one of four area sites to receive a lunch meal. Individual’s ages 19 through 21 with a mental or physical disability may also be eligible for free summer meals.

We are still seeking additional assistance from the community to cover the costs of the program to ensure that no child goes without a meal during the summer months.
A gift of $75 will sponsor one days worth of meals for all sites.
