If you or someone you know would like to join our Fresh Market food pantry, here is the most up to to date information:

2021 Hours of Operation: Our Fresh Market is open every Tuesday through Friday from 9am to 4pm and until 6pm on Wednesdays.

Location: We are located at 311 North 6th Street in downtown Steubenville (43952) in a four story warehouse. All food is typically distributed through the back of the warehouse utilizing a drive through model. For individuals and families visiting for the first time, please park and come in through the front door of our warehouse to sign up.

How often can you visit? Customers can visit once per week.

What do I need to bring with me to sign up? According to Mid-Ohio Foodbank’s policy, you must show a photo ID and proof of residency to sign up for our food program.

What do I bring with me to pick up my food? According to Mid-Ohio Foodbank’s policy, you must show a photo ID to obtain food each visit. Urban Mission staff/volunteers will also ask you for your Fresh Start Key Tag number.

What if a member of my home picks up for food me? Family members or others living in your home can pick up your food. To do so, they must be listed under your household in our database and they must bring THEIR ID and have the Head of Household’s Key Tag or number when picking up food.

What if I need someone else to pick up my food for me (like a friend, case manager, home health aid)? If you need to send someone on your behalf, the Urban Mission must be a signed Proxy form on file. (This form is available below.) When picking up food as a Proxy, Proxy shoppers must show THEIR ID but have their client’s Fresh Start Key Tag or number when picking up food.
