2020 is here and the Urban Mission is eager to serve our community in new and exciting ways! Throughout the entire month of December, Urban Mission staff and volunteers had the opportunity to provide a special Christmas for more than 1,00 children.  This year our Christmas Toy Shop was held at the 7th Street Plaza which provided a much larger space to accommodate more than 400 families who came to shop for their children.  In addition to toys and stocking stuffers, hats and gloves and wrapping paper were distributed, and families had the opportunity to win bikes for their children as well.  A special “pop up” Christmas decoration shop was also available for the public to purchase items for $1 or less to bring holiday cheer to their homes. Urban Mission Ministry Expansion

On October 17th, 2019, history was made at the Urban Mission.  What was once a dream (11+ years in the making) now became a reality when we signed the papers to purchase the Seventh Street Plaza in downtown Steubenville.  How exciting it was to make this announcement at a celebratory worship service for our 60th Anniversary a few days later!  Was it a coincidence that this previously scheduled worship service fell in line with the plaza purchase – we think not!  It was just a reminder to us from God that love never gives up, never gives in, and always trusts!
