Ways to Help

During the pandemic, we spent a great deal of time investing in our emergency housing program.  It has been our goal to ensure that our guests feel safe, welcomed, celebrated & cherished, that our spaces exude the love of Christ, and that each guest has a positive experience from the moment they enter emergency housing, to the moment they move out and into a home of their own.  To do so, we have made several updates to our shelters, including the installation of a new roof on our men’s shelter and a sprinkler system at our women’s shelter.  We also hired new staff, introduced the concept of “trauma informed care” in all our shelters, and updated the...

If you or someone you know would like to join our Fresh Market food pantry, here is the most up to to date information: 2021 Hours of Operation: Our Fresh Market is open every Tuesday through Friday from 9am to 4pm and until 6pm on Wednesdays. Location: We are located at 311 North 6th Street in downtown Steubenville (43952) in a four story warehouse. All food is typically distributed through the back of the warehouse utilizing a drive through model. We’re excited to formally share with you, our Urban Mission Works program – a growing ministry of the Urban Mission! Urban Mission Works is an employment readiness and mentoring program for members of the community who experience barriers to employment.
