To our community, For more than 60 years, the Urban Mission has sought to provide a living witness of what it means to act justly, love mercy and walk humbly with God. Justice As a faith-based organization, we define justice as it is found in the Bible. In Isaiah 1:17, God sets the standard for justice through the words of Isaiah, “Learn to do right; seek justice. Defend the oppressed. Take up the cause of the fatherless; plead the case of the widow.” As members of the Urban Mission staff, who are also people of faith, we have a responsibility to meet, uphold, and live out this call to justice. Summer Mobile Food Pantry for Children

Our Children’s Mobile Food Pantry is back for another year! The pantry will operate as a nine-week program available for children, ages 1 – 18, on Wednesdays and Fridays of each week until August 14th.  This year’s program will be in partnership with Checker Cab, which will be providing a delivery vehicle and driver on Fridays of each week. We are grateful for Karen D’Anniballe and her staff for making this possible! Food items are made available through partnerships with Trinity Health System, Wal-Mart Distribution Center No. 7017 and the UMAMN.  There is still a need to purchase additional food items, however.  For every $10, the Urban Mission can serve one...
