After months of hard work, cleaning and organizing, the Urban Thrift and Opportunity Center is open!  We are so thankful to all of the volunteers whose dedication to our mission made it possible. We’re ONE month in & thriving!

We’ve been getting some great questions that we wanted to share with you.

Where is Urban Thrift located?

644 Market Street, Steubenville, Ohio.  It’s the beautiful white building on the corner of Market & 7th Street.

When are we open?

Our store is currently open Mon. – Wed., 9 A.M. to 4 P.M.  We’ll expand our days and hours in the coming months. However, donations can be dropped off Mon. – Fri., 9 A.M. to 4 P.M.

I have large items to donate, can I arrange a pick up?

Yes!  There are three ways to arrange a pick up.  Visit and fill out the online form, email or give us a call at 740.282.4851.  Thank you for considering us!

What do you have at Urban Thrift?

We have couches and loveseats, a wide variety of tables, chairs, recliners, air conditioners, lamps, paintings and wall art. Our clothing departments are also newly expanded. We even have a career women’s section! The cutest space we have is our children’s department.  Come check it out!

What are people saying about the new look?

The feedback from our customers has been fantastic. Listening to everyone as they walk through the door has been exciting and rewarding. Our Vintage Boutique is a hit among shoppers as well as our furniture showroom. These areas are a beautiful testament of the transformation that’s taken place here.

Do you still distribute items for free?

Yes, we do.  We know there are people who need clothes, furniture and other items.  We recently hired a social worker to help set our clients up for success.

Why support Urban Thrift?  Our prices are unbeatable and our customer service is the best in the area.  Most importantly, all proceeds from the store help our recently formed Jobs for Life program.
